Interiors
As a child, I grew up in a mid-century designed house with a precise and curated interior designed by my architect father. Consequently, I developed a passion for interiors and light filled spaces. Designing comes from the soul, it’s an intimacy I have with a space which grows and develops according to the clients brief and the shapes and textures of the furniture that occupy the existing space. I like to create timeless spaces using a pallet of new and existing furniture. I often build a room around a particular piece of furniture that holds a special memory for the client reflecting their past or perhaps their personality.
Swanbourne Project
This lovely light filled home needed some depth and definition. It was previously furnished mostly white, so to enhance the space, pops of colour were added to set off the amazing art work. Furniture was sourced from a variety of places to give an eclectic vibe. The bedroom and office spaces were also updated much to the clients delight.
Mosman Park Project
The brief for this home was a Country Road Beach house. The terracotta floors dictated a cream and blue colour pallet. It has been layered up over the years which has created a very welcoming and warm ambience.
The Mount Claremont Project
This project started with the covering of one heirloom radio chair and gradually encompassed all the living spaces. The owner has an eclectic collection of furniture that just needed a few statement pieces added to enhance the existing interior spaces. A happy boho-chic vibe was created with lots of colour and texture. The project included the re hanging of all the art work to complement the new and recovered furniture pieces. It was a delight to work with this amiable couple.
